Based on a Knowledge Graph ZEISS Microscopy provides concise information to field service engineers helping them to shorten the mean time of repair. To provide concise information to a field service engineer (FSE) help him to shorten the mean time of repair. Concise means, that this information has to be so closely connected to the customer product and the reported issue as possible supporting the FSE in having the needed spare parts prepared and giving him the instructions for exchange.
In this presentation we will show how Wolters Kluwer is accelerating its “semantification” process, where semantic information like domain knowledge graphs and data standardization on a global scale are not only restricted to technology projects, but actually have an impact and create requirements for the organization as a whole. This paradigm shift is currently happening in many industries and common solutions based on semantic standards and tools are needed.
