Claudia Müller-Birn is the head of the research group Human-Centered Computing (HCC.lab) at the Institute of Computer Science at the Freie Universität Berlin and member of the Cluster of Excellence Image Knowledge Gestaltung - An Interdisciplinary Laboratory at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Her research is in the field of Computer-Supported Cooperative Work and Social Computing.
