Until recently, Dutch government organisations were obliged under the Freedom of Information Act to supply information on request. With the new Open Government law, however, information that is not confidential must be published proactively. KOOP, the government’s publications office, is building a high-performance platform to realize this. An important aspect of the information to be published on this platform is that it should conform to the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).
The National Archive has developed a LOD proces from data entry to sparql endpoint. The presentation will be about the developing of this workflow, the use of tooling and development of a National Archives ontology.||||The National Archives is also the host of www.datasetregister.nl for the Dutch Heritage Network. This register is developed for LOD heritage datasets and will be the backbone of a heritage Knowledge Graph. The presentation will be about the development, hosting and use of the datasetregister.||||
The quality of linked data datasets being published has varying levels of quality. These datasets are created using mapping artifacts, which define the transformation rules from non-graph based data into graph based RDF data. Currently, quality issues are captured after the mapping artefact has been executed. Addressing quality issues within these artefacts will positively improve the quality of the resulting dataset. Furthermore, an explicit quality process for mappings will improve quality, maintenance, and reuse.
