Prof. Both studied computer science and obtained his Ph.D. at the Martin Luther University Halle (until 2010) in Germany. Subsequently, he held several leading R&D positions in medium and large IT companies in the segments Web, e-commerce as well as business software and digitalization. Since October 2018, he held the professorship for Web Engineering at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and is also Head of Research of the large business software development company DATEV (located in Germany). He is a frequent author of research publications in the field of Question Answering and Linked Data.
