Sophia Katrenko, Head of Data Science at DEUS, has worked in advertising, research, finance, publishing, and continues exploring Data Science & Analytics in other sectors, preferably with a measurable impact on society. Sophia is particularly interested in bridging the gap between research and industry, and promoting knowledge valorisation. She has organised events on machine learning, built high-performing teams across multiple geographies, supervised data scientists in industrial and academic environments, and served on boards of program committees of multiple international conferences. Sophia holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Amsterdam.
